Focus: Learning strategies to create continued proficiency in understanding LETTERS, SOUNDS, AND WORDS. 

Geared toward Grade 1-2 students to support the ongoing learning in vocabulary, language development, and literacy skills. 

• Letters and Sounds: letter-sound correspondence, recognizing, and pronouncing consonant sounds.
• Vowels and Consonant Blends: understanding vowels, blends and their sounds.
• High-Frequency Words: explanation of sight words, common high-frequency words.
• Word Families: identify word families and creating simple sentences.
• Vocabulary Building: contextualizing words through stories and pictures.
• Spelling Rules and Patterns: spelling rules, spelling words following common patterns.
• Word Recognition Strategies: strategies for decoding unfamiliar words.

Interactive activities, games, and hands-on exercises keep learners engaged and reinforce learning. Providing opportunities for practice and repetition will help solidify understanding and retention of concepts.
